On February 9, Martha Spelman presented “’Are You Blogophobic?’ Using Content Marketing to Grow Your Practice” to the Orange County Chapter of IMC.  The presentation included the definition of content marketing, focused on a blog as the “must-have” element of a content marketing strategy, the “symptoms” of blogophobia and outlined a recovery program.  Martha’s seven-step plan includes: Committing, Concepting, Creating, Optimizing, Publishing, Promoting and Measuring.  Those who sign up for Martha’s “Marketing Musings” blog will receive a copy “101 Blog Ideas” to get them started! Happy Holidays!

Thank you all for your support of IMC – the SoCal, San Fernando Valley and Orange County chapters.  It has been a productive year for all chapters: offering valuable educational speakers, programs and workshops as well as evening networking events and a special “Day at the Races” outing.  We have formed an alliance with the LA Chamber of Commerce allowing IMC members a special discounted membership fee.   In addition, we have a new local IMC website (http://www.imcsocal.org) which allows members and those interested in IMC to more easily find IMC SoCal online, view upcoming events and keep abreast of important IMC news!  Special thanks go to the IMC board members and volunteers for their input of time and energy – without these members, there’d be no IMC!  Please continue your support by attending IMC events, contributing your news to our newsletter and volunteering at your local chapter.

This month’s newsletter, in addition to member and chapter news, includes IMC members “New Year’s Consulting Resolutions”and an informative “Get To Know…” interview with IMC board member, Don Gilman.
