From our Orange County Chapter: Outsourcing R&D: Opportunities and Challenges

Recently the Tech SIG of the OC IMC had an on-site look at the opportunities and challenges of R&D outsourcing. Our hosts from DeviceLab shared their successes and problems in providing R&D services for the development of medical devices and other products. DeviceLab, Inc. is a contract design and product development firm which takes products from concept to market. It was established in 1998 as a full-service R&D Company for technology assessment, proof of concept, mechanical engineering, electronics, software, industrial design, prototyping, manufacturing, integration, FDA regulatory consulting, and consumer product design.
