Topic: How to Turn a Conversation into an Engagement

How often does a conversation or one of your presentations to a prospect spontaneously lead to: “When can you start?” or “Do you accept credit cards?” We’re guessing your answer is somewhere between rarely and never.

Let’s face it.  We can help many more companies than just the ones who hire us.  Let’s also face it… There is probably something we are doing or failing to do that is contributing to that.  Unfortunately, by definition, you can’t see a blind spot.

At our March 20 IMC meeting, that is going to change forever.  YOU WILL SEE!

You will discover your blind spots, how and where you are getting in your own way and in the way of getting hired more frequently and how to overcome them.

You will also learn the secret to getting through to prospects, clients and absolutely anyone.

Introverted or not, you will also come out of your shell in this highly interactive presentation and learn from our presenter, Dr. Mark Goulston, but more importantly from each other.  So when you come, be prepared to share some of your secrets with each other.  That is what the spirit of IMC is about.

Dr. Mark Goulston is a nationally-renowned speaker, executive coach, and the author of five books including, Get Out of Your Own Way at Work and the #1 international and kindle bestselling book, “Just Listen” Discover the Secret to Getting Through to Absolutely Anyone (you can read the first chapter at: Who’s Holding You Hostage?).  Mark is currently Vice Chairman of the strategic advisory and management firm, Steele Partners, and is Chairman and co-founder of Xtraordinary Outcomes. He writes a weekly Tribune syndicated career advice column that appears in the Sunday Los Angeles Times, and blogs for Fast Company, Business Insider, Psychology Today and the Huffington Post.  Trained as a clinical psychiatrist and as a UCLA professor for more than twenty five years, he honed his skills as an FBI/police hostage negotiation trainer.  A partial list of clients he has worked with or companies he has spoken to include: GE, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Accenture, ESPN, Sodexo, British Airways, FedEx, UCLA, USC, Pepperdine, Abbott, Eli Lilly, Astra Zenica, YPOWPO.

To get a taste of Dr. Goulston, check out his keynote: “Change Your Thinking Forever in 8 Minutes” that he gave to 200+ executives last year.
